Cardington-Lincoln gets spanked again. Our depth issues are really hurting us. Tonight we had one active running back who missed the first three games. Our top three linebackers were also not active. T'was a very, very long night. Centerburg has some good pieces but we made them look like the Buckeyes. Unfortunate time to lose a ball game, but Pirates *should* win the next three weeks and get healthy in the process. Hopefully...

Didn't Centerburg beat you guys last year? I told I thought Centerburg had some nice pieces to their team. Though I did pick you guys to win though.

Do you know if the kicker is going to play in college? He is really good You know I don't have a clue. I don't know any of the Galion players personally, except for #71 "BIG SHOW" who's over my house constantly and #7 - Tanner Crisman who lives across the street. He should be though. He is consistent, and anytime you got a high school kicker who can give you a touchback every kick, that's a weapon especially in college.

I was the one that intervened and said Centerburg would probably be below Highland, Fredericktown, and Cardington this season. Looks like I was pretty wrong there. We'll find out this week if they are better than Highland too or not.

Galions kicker should absolutely be a prospect for high level college football.

Centerburg 55 Cardington 34 EK 28 Northmor 6 Highland 49 Elgin 8 Fred 35 Mount Gilead 28 BV 41 Fairbanks 24 Jonathan Alder 43 Galion 16 Hardign 35 North Union 0 Pleasant 24 River Valley 7
TheDogg says: Cardington will still make the playoffs. EK beats Elgin and goes 2-8 Highland loves playing smaller schools who are no good in league play. Northmor is not good MG can score. MG can't stop anyone from scoring. Fairbanks is not good. Alder is good. Gallon scored 16. wow Harding is going to finish in the top 3 in the Red. NU will not. Pleasant will finish in the top 3 in the Red. RV will not.

So you think Buckeye Valley will place 4th in the MOAC? I don't know about that one...possibly. I predict JA, Harding and then Buckeye Valley, then Pleasant...Galion won't be last in the league either...I sure hope not. LOL

Haven't seen seen Harding or Pleasant yet but I would imagine that BV is comparable to them. So far as Galion goes, based on what I've seen so far even at full strength the only team in this conference that I can see them beating is Fairbanks and right now I'm not so certain about that.

Look out for Marion Harding I look for them to run the table in moac there team is complete for first time this season and shut out of NU explains that the defense has played excellent all season now with help from best back in moac coming back they were very exciting to watch I have seen alot of negative post on here about Harding saying they recruit I have to say that's quiete amusing being the program has been in the shitter since Hinton left in 04 so tell me what's so appealing that would help w recruiting how bout rooting for a team that was once on top of high school football took a fall and is working it's *** off to get back to that

Umm what post said they recruited? The only team accused with recruiting was Galion with the GT mess.
Now that said playing a kid with an ankle bracelet says a lot...
Kind of like a kid getting a 4 game suspension for steroids and them making him a team captain afterwords.
I don't agree, but not my call to make. I wonder what message we are sending these kids by rewarding them for bad behavior.

I may have posted this earlier, but don't recall. There used to be a joke around Marion that Harding had great teams in junior high but when they got to high school they were too old to play.

No one said Harding recruited but allowing a kid with an ankle bracelet to play says a lot about that program. Harding has a lot of great athletes and you should be beating D5 and D6 schools.

Pleasant will not finish top 3 I expect them to lose when they travel to Richwood to take on North Union. It will be a good game but I think North Union will rally after losing to the Ankle Bracelets er I mean the Presidents. That #3 spot will either go to NU or BV. It will be a hard hitting game in on Friday that I am looking forward to

North Union had that same unsportsmanlike problem when they played Hartley two years in a row 4 or 5 years ago. They were the only team I ever heard posters from Hartley complain about cheap shots.

I was at the Harding game, two of those cheap shots were out of frustration and out of character for those particular kids and I know coach will address them. We had several kids out with injuries so we were not at full strength as stated above. 9 kids in jeans and a jersey on the sideline. We get two back this week. I said earlier, the injuries are going to kill us. the bigger issue is why a Harding kid is allowed to wear an ankle monitor during the game. Had he not played, MH still wins. Granted it was taped over, but disappointed that OHSAA allowed it, more disappointed MOAC allows it, not sure why Harding allows it, but it is what it is. the soft side of me understands the kid needs football in his life. Question is, is he allowed to leave Marion county to play in Crawford county this week? And why is a D2 school in the MOAC? Still scratching my head on that one, so yes, When you dress 80 kids vs 40 (30 for Fairbanks), and are 3-4 divisions bigger, you should win. Big.

Do you feel that the ankle brace is a safety concern? Does it somehow give the kid an unfair competitive advantage? I just don't see what the big deal is. Obviously, the court allows it so it's clearly not a legal issue. It's not like he was the one doing the cheapshotting. Harding is in the MOAC because the MOAC invited them to join, your school included. Sorry, when they are struggling and you're beating them, no problem, but when they field a team that beats you then all of the sudden you want to whine about their size. That's bullshit. Again, they were invited to join they didn't just show up.

NU vs PHS in a lot of ways this has been more of a rivalry than RV. The NU coach seems to know how to coach up his kids against Sparty. That said it sounded like NU was quite beaten up before the Harding game. Are they back to full strength? What are the key factors in the game?

Well not touching ^^^^ but I will say when the schedule was turned into crap last year there was a mess to clean up. They had one team back out this season and week 1 was that game. At some point you have to play games and you play who is available. Yeah they look bad now but what where their records when scheduled? Both teams last year were 5-5 and Pandora had quite a few returning players on both sides of the ball. Heck in the BVC they could still end up 5-5. how many D1 football players did pleasant have compared to Harding even at Harding worst we produced more big time college players lololol

Jro do you quote random topics and say what every you want? Hard to follow along.
On D1 Players coming from Harding, a school that is almost 2.5x bigger I would expect that you produce more D1 level athletes. That seems to be a a hard concept for Harding people to understand Bigger schools have more athletes.
I can not respond on your second post because it make no sense.
I keep hearing they are almost D3 yet I have yet to see any projection that they are actually going to be a D3 team. BV has also grown inside the league from what I understand they were not brought in as a D2 that was a former D1 school. I think it makes a difference.
I heard he didn't play earlier because he was in Jail not due to the ankle bracelet. That said hard to know what is real since all the people in the "know" will not talk about it.

No one said Harding recruited but allowing a kid with an ankle bracelet to play says a lot about that program. Harding has a lot of great athletes and you should be beating D5 and D6 schools. "Says a lot about that program" Yes, it certainly does, says a lot about the program and it's coaches that they are willing to reach out and help a kid get his life in order and make contributions to something worthwhile like high school interscholastic athletics. GOOD FOR THEM. While I greatly doubt if you meant your statement the way I directed it, you should. What's wrong with giving a kid a second chance or a third? If a kid is in your school, has achieved all of the OHSAA and individual school districts requirements for participating, what on earth is wrong with not only allowing him to play but encouraging him to do so? People in here AND in society, forget why interscholastic athletics exist. They are not to win, win, win. Or win with just "good" kids. They are a major part of the educational system. They are here to shape, mold, educate and help develop the youth of a respective community. Anyone who looks at this differently is tremendously mistaken! When it comes to classifications and divisions, let's look at it from another perspective. Students who are eligible by OHSAA and local district standards. Being tactful and professional I will not mention names, and this IS NOT an MOAC school, but I know of a school in Central Ohio who at the end of a recent 4th nine weeks grading period, 50% of It's student body was academically ineligible to compete in interscholastic athletics. This is just like making a Division 1 or 2 school a Division 3 or 4 school, when you look at the number of "athletes" they have to draw from. Now while it's very true that this is that's school's individual problem and that they (students, parents and teachers) need to do something to remedy this ..... What IF a school like Harding (or other larger MOAC schools) has a similar problem. Honestly, I have no idea, whatsoever, if they do .... But IF they did, they might already, basically, be like a Division 3, 4 or 5 school. Just throwing that out there as a point. Harding is in the MOAC, I don't see them going anywhere. Have some class, welcome them and accept the challenge of competing against them without the constant whining.
