I know I'm talking about my son AGAIN. LOL But honestly I always thought baseball would be his sport. I got him pitching training over in Wooster for a month and half like 3 years ago. But he just loves football too much, but man he can bring the heat. He broke my toe over in Wooster catching for him. He used to be a lights-out pitcher when he was younger. Maybe I can get him to go out for baseball this his last year of High School this year.
Id be interested in that section, if I can get him to commit to baseball this next year.

Fairbanks QB threw for almost 450 yards vs North Union. If they were in their new league this year they would be having much more positive results. hudl says 329 yards,,,,regardless he's a pretty good qb. The league change will be good for Fairbanks. could have been...a family member sent me the stats, very easily could have had "fat finger syndrome" and hit the wrong button.

In all honesty i do have a question what is the deal with Galion with Harding anyway? i had someone ask me the other day why Galion seems to not like Harding and i had no clue i thought we are very similar teams and match up well but not sure what the deal is lol anyone care to explain? I don't think any of us have a problem with Harding. I mean we really don't have much history in football anyway. Other than the last 2 seasons we played each other maybe a hand full of times in the '80's and 90's that I know of. I think most of what happened is when "d1athelete" came on here and started trolling Galiontiger about his kid and then announcing Harding was back. It had nothing to do with Harding in general. I can say this though, I wish all of your facilities were out by your new High school It's a hell of a lot easier to get to.

I believe they ran outta money building the big new high school lol. But the tradition is always there at grant cause it's the old Harding. The fitness center is there and "the hill" which is the baseball field. They have a nice set up at grant so they've always kept it.

With the money that they've recently poured into the track and stadium it's certainly not going anywhere in the near future.

I felt left out a bit. Probably why I talk about my son and team so much on here, don't know what else to talk about. LOL

Not many places can say their track has more than 2 straightaways. Dating/Aging myself here, maybe? Didn't the old Mansfield Mehock Stadium have two straights that you could run the 220 STRAIGHT on one of them and the 180 Low Hurdles, on the straight on the other?

When the whole project is done it'll be one of the nicest in Ohio. New entrance gates, new home stands, landscaping, turf all that. It'll be as nice as some of those school in NE Ohio. I seen the layout thing it is nice.

Not many places can say their track has more than 2 straightaways. Dating/Aging myself here, maybe? Didn't the old Mansfield Mehock Stadium have two straights that you could run the 220 STRAIGHT on one of them and the 180 Low Hurdles, on the straight on the other? That's correct. Also when built it had 10 lanes, more rare than two 220 YARD straights This will date me. My dad started taking me to THE Relays when I was a kid. My favorite memory was watching Scott May win the 180 lows, the Long Jump and place in the Discus and Pole Vault, he could also High Jump 6-8. In those days it was more difficult to win or place in events there than it was at the Ohio State Meet. There were thousands of kids that came from not only Ohio, but Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, Kentucky and Canada AND they had qualifying standards. The Canadian kids were allowed to be a year older than the US kids, due to them going to school a year longer. The largest high school meet east of the Mississippi river. Scott May won an NCAA basketball title at Indiana, but there is no doubt in my mind that he could have been an Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist. He also would have been one heck of a WR in the NFL.

Not many places can say their track has more than 2 straightaways. More than 2??? Galion's track technically has 4 straightaways. The additional 2 are right in the middle of the turns, where the track straightens out for short distance back behind the goalposts.

Straight enough to run a "straight" 100 Meter Dash? The intent of the two straights on the Mehoch track was to run prelims in the 220 yard dash on a straight away on one side of the track and at the same time run prelims in the 180 yard low hurdles on a straight away on the other side of the track.

Not seen it since the major renovations but it still had the 10 lanes but the extended straightaway on the back side had been removed and the front side was changed to mirror the more current designs.

The Galion track is still unique with the 4 straights. Could be corrected for a major price tag.

I heard Galion's basketball coach step-down. As Trump would say..."Not good...not good." My son told me this afternoon he will not play basketball this year. He really like Coach Bright. His choice. He will go out for baseball this year though. I'm kind of excited about that.

Well it his decision, he was told another kid isn't going on now too. It's not really about having to play. There should be some type of loyalty shown toward a coach. The Galion administrators are spineless. Yeah! I said it. How do you let a couple of parents dictate your decision to keep a coach? I heard he wasn't fired, but I heard these parent's complaints and allegations wouldn't stop. He stepped down. It ridiculous to me. Coach Bright was everywhere last year for Galion..Track, football and basketball. I'm NOT happy, as you can tell. This is just the way this country is headed. Everything has to be so damn politically correct. I sat in a meeting this year on this subject where I listened to a head Galion administrator say a head coach shouldn't have to use curse words to get his point across. Are you joking? Have you never heard a coach NOT curse before in the heat of the battle? I think its foolish. The problem is these same administrators just want to compete; they could careless about winning. They are the same ones who give out "participation" medals to everyone and no one is named "Most Valuable Player", because that would not be socially acceptable. Eerrrrrr!
**** Got another beef: What's up with the lame stats on the MOAC leader board? It goes by total catches for receivers who ever heard of anything like that? The last guy on the list has 26 catches with like only like 85 yard for the whole year with 0 touchdowns. A yards-per-catch of 3.3. Reeeeallly? We have had one of our receiver have almost 200 yards in one game. He should be on the list before that guy. Our receiver has to have almost 400 yards probably...maybe more.

The Galion track is still unique with the 4 straights. Could be corrected for a major price tag. The school is actually negotiating to buy additional property near the middle school, and one of the ultimate goals is to build an oval track along with a field for the new soccer team.

Catches thing is silly. Guy is getting like 4 yards a catch lol, and I think it should show top 10 for each. And Qb stars is on completions. I say should be on touchdowns and yards. But who am I to say lol.

Not seen it since the major renovations but it still had the 10 lanes but the extended straightaway on the back side had been removed and the front side was changed to mirror the more current designs. The Mehock Relays is a MUCH smaller track meet than it used to be. The 100's of Prelim heats are no more. Ten lanes and standard configuration is all that's needed.
