Now that the 2018 season is officially over, looking ahead to the 7 team MOAC, I would make Clear Fork the favorite. I think Shelby and Galion could make some gains and potentially challenge CF. I believe Pleasant loses a very strong senior class so I could see them down by their standards a bit. River Valley and Ontario next with Harding at the bottom. A lot can change between then and now. I already miss Friday night football.

Harding should be a little better, now that some guys have been through a varsity season. 3 wins max probably, should be a force in moac in couple years when MS gets up

This years freshman had talent as well. We’ll see who makes varsity however. A year from now lol

Shelby will have talent to win it, CF will drop off IMO, they lose a ton. Galion may surprise some people here, but Pleasant to me is consistent and will be the favorite.

Pleasant loses a ton of talent off of the 2018 team including 8 out of 11 starters on offense and 9 or 10 starters on defense. They will be down next year. It will be interesting to see if Dave Carroll returns as the Head Coach at CF next year as he is retiring from teaching. They may work something out though as I think he still wants to coach.

Since BV is out of the league this year, who is going to play that 10th game? Thoughts?
Clear Fork?- Galion?- Marion Harding?- Marion Pleasant?- Ontario?- River Valley?- Shelby?-
I know schools will want to get a OHSAA school so they could get those valuable computer points.

Clear Fork's addition to the schedule for the 2019 and 2020 seasons is Granville, who they will play in week 2. The Bellevue game is being moved from week 2 to week 4, which is Clear Fork's MOAC bye.

According to arbiterlive, here are the MOAC bye week OOC games scheduled for the next 2 seasons: 2019Week 4: Clear Fork vs. Bellevue Week 5: Ontario @ Norwalk Week 6: Pleasant vs. KIPP Columbus Week 7: Harding @ Mansfield Madison Week 8: Shelby vs. Lima Central Catholic Week 9: Galion @ KIPP Columbus Week 10: River Valley @ Lexington 2020Week 4: Clear Fork @ Bellevue Week 5: Ontario vs. Norwalk Week 6: Pleasant @ KIPP Columbus Week 7: Harding vs. Mansfield Madison Week 8: Shelby @ West Holmes Week 9: Galion vs. KIPP Columbus Week 10: River Valley vs. Lexington Notes: - since this is from arbiterlive, any of this is subject to change or possibly being wrong/outdated - Shelby is the only school that has a different bye opponent in 2020 than 2019. - KIPP Columbus is part of the nationwide network of "Knowledge Is Power Program" schools. They count as a D7 team for computer points, and last year they went 1-5.

I realize no one wants my opinion, but wished Norwalk still had Shelby instead of Ontario

Kind of a surprise that Galion is playing away in Week 9. That will give them 6 away games. I guess you have to take what you can get in that instance.

Where does that team even play? They can't possibly have their own stadium.

I can't believe that Pleasant and Galion went that route. I thought they would get some team from the OCC, SBC(Lake), maybe Lucas, or any other team that doesn't have a full conference. It probably won't hurt them but won't get many points. I looked online and it looks like the closet school is St. Francis deSales

We will see how Lexington does in the MOAC. They play Ontario, Shelby, Clear Fork, and River Valley. 🏈🏈🏈

It probably won't hurt them but won't get many points. I looked online and it looks like the closet school is St. Francis deSales The SBC Lake has 6 teams, so we're all playing league games in weeks 6-10 and all looking for OOC games in weeks 4 and 5. That's why Clear Fork and Ontario were the only two able to schedule a Lake team for their MOAC bye week. Here's what the OCC has scheduled for their 2019 bye weeks: Week 4: Ashland @ Sandusky Week 5: Mansfield vs. Sandusky Week 6: Mount Vernon @ Zanesville Week 7: Madison vs. Harding Week 8: West Holmes @ West Branch Week 9: Wooster vs. Akron Firestone (this would be their 2nd straight home game vs Firestone, giving them 6 home games) Week 10: Lexington vs. River Valley As for Lucas in 2019, they are playing at Willard in week 6 and at Lancaster Fisher Catholic in week 9

No doubt Galion and Pleasant went that route because it was probably their only option.

Where else are you going to find a week 8 opponent with a years notice?

I totally understand the situation timing is everything. But I would think if schools had an idea that they had to add another game that they would start searching. The other schools didn't have trouble getting teams such as Norwalk, Madison, West Holmes, Lima Central Catholic, Lexington and Bellevue. But it the nature of the beast when a conference is short a team.

I know in Galion’s case it was more difficult. Wooster is the occ team that had the bye, but they already had theit team scheduled. My guess is they were really short on options.

And the SBC is already into league play after week 5 so there wasn’t a Bellevue, Norwalk or any other SBC team to be had at that juncture.

The question is, if you're a D4 team on the bubble for a playoff spot in week 9, is a bye better than a road trip win in Columbus against a 1-5, D7 team?

Where is everyone heading to play college ball? Pleasant has a D1 walk on heading to Duqesene , Noah Thompson is heading JUCO route, then to a 4 year. I know Kwauve Booker offered by Ashland, Findlay and couple others. Andrew Brazell offered by a few D3. What have you guys seen?

Don't sleep on the KIPP team. Next year will be there first year as an OHSAA team after being on probation the last 2 years. However, they are growing like crazy and already have over 2000 students in the school system as a whole. With all of the money that Wexner is putting into that school, you know they are going to have top of the line equipment and facilities within a few years. They will also be Division VII or VI for only a few years as the younger kids enrolled get to high school. Very interesting concept.

Where does KIPP play their home games at? I think they are supposed to have a stadium on their campus for next year.

Harding Kwauve Booker has committed to Ohio Dominican for Baseball and Football, a good D2 spot for him.

From Pleasant, Alex Enders signed with Toledo while Ethan Warner, Braden Stark and Bryce Lowry all signed on to play at Otterbein.

Shelby finishes runner-up out of 24 schools at Bucyrus 7 on 7. Can only report the result as I didn’t see a participation list or know how anyone specifically performed. I’m sure the oppressive heat played a factor.

Shelby beat Cardington, St Frances (I think) , Clear Fork, lost to Kenton in bracket play . And it was HOT.
