Lexington, Wynford, bucyrus, upper Sandusky are all fits for moac Fits smits... Lex wanted in, Wynford Bucyrus and Upper want no part of the MOAC. Unless out of desperation, if kicked out of the N10. Which is very unlikely ever to happen.

Lexington, Wynford, bucyrus, upper Sandusky are all fits for moac I heard rumors the other day of a push by Crawford County to merge Bucyrus High and Wynford into one school within the next 5 years. Like the idea or not, money talks and so does the lack of. The cost savings are most likely being evaluated as you read this. If that happens, it will get them kicked out of the N-10, since they'd then be 50% larger than Upper and double the size of the other N-10 schools. Bucy/Wyn then would come begging to get into the MOAC, making them 2nd largest just 50 behind Harding.

If Lex was not a good fit who is ? Fredericktown, Mt Gilead, Crestline, Upper Sandusky ?? Lex was a good geographic region fit Size and location wise, only Lexington, Highland or Upper Sandusky would be good fits.

If Highland, Upper or Kenton doesn't want to be in the MOAC, then Lex is the only possibility for an 8th school. If what dude says is true about Pleasant only wanting a school from the Central District, then someone needs to ask them who in the hell in the Central Districts wants the MOAC??

Elgin and Ridgedale could combine. Combined they have approximately 200 boys and 200 girls.

Any 2 neighboring school districts "could" combine, but will they? Unless forced, almost all want to keep their autonomy. Heck, I'm told that at one time some thought Lexington and Ontario should consolidate and build new buildings overlooking the Clear Fork reservoir. Now they'd be the largest school district between Columbus and Canton.

This has been discussed and only those 4 schools(MP, MH, RV and Galion) understand their thinking. What ever it is, it is not about adding a school with competitive teams. As for Highland, they have no interest in changing leagues so any talk of them is a waste. Upper Sandusky is very happy in their league both for competition and logistics.

First team All-MOAC is out. I realized how horribly put together it was when the leading tackler didn’t make it, Mitch Myers. No matter the team record, he’s one of the best defensive players in the league.

It is very common for the last place team to have a player with the most tackles because their defense is on the field more than their offense.

I wonder how this is selected. 4 QBs made first team Head scratching selections. Two stood out. Deandre Ayers from Marion Harding was the 4th leading rusher in the league. Averaged more yards per carry than the others in the top five in rushing. Ayers was 2nd in the MOAC in interceptions. He had a 61 yard fumble return for a touchdown and two interceptions in the last few minutes as Harding upset Pleasant. He received nothing. Cooper Graham from River Valley was fifth in the MOAC in rushing. He carried the load for the RV offense but another running back and the RV quarterback were picked over him? Graham was a two-way star like Alsip and South.

Its not uncommon that a player only gets one side of the ball so while gram was in the top 4 in rushing he was 1st def and maybe that was the coaches choice.
Every year its the same story... thing is your coach has to nominate you for 1st or 2nd team so unless you are there you have no idea who is nominated.
It would be nice to have more than the top 5 at every position to understand the #s but like most leagues to the victors go the spoils. You want more 1st team players its an easy formula....win. Bad teams just don't get votes.

Also quite possible one of the QB's may have been there for special teams? I think the Kicker is on O and Punter is on D...

Let's see, 4th leading rusher in the league would hardly be worthy of 1st or 2nd Team All-League. 5th leading rusher would be behind 4th leading rusher. If they were both given All- League what would the 1st, 2nd and 3rd leading rushers get??? INTs are a small portion of what's important as a DB. What was his tackling like? How many bad coverages did he have? You failed to note that there were 5 other players tied with Ayers for 2nd most INTs.

No matter the team record, he’s one of the best defensive players in the league. Padding "tackles" is a science at some schools. I found that if I was near a pile and was the last to get up off the turf, I got 1/2 a tackle.

So the SBC Has a first team QB, 2 RBs, OLine, 2 receivers. It’s broken down. That’s my confusion. Never saw a conference have 4 first team QBs before. Just seems odd to me

Total BS about the Myers kid from HHS, no doubt a first team player. The district and state selections will get it correct for him. As for Ayers he was ruled ineligible for the last game due to grades so if im his coach I dont put him up for anything. Also all these passing yards in the MOAC and no one from HHS is in the top 5 for sacks? All those athletes and no one can rush the passer..DL coach needs removed if he cant teach those kids 1 pass rush move.

Just seems odd to me MOAC has not done that since 2011. There is a lot of things this league does half assed.... Why show only top 5? Everything at WR is sorted by catches several years the #1 and #2 yardage leaders were not on the WR board. That said the league seems to be ok with it so we as fans have to deal with it.

Pleasant has always had a top notch D-Line and they didn't have any outstanding players with #s this year... why the kids were not that good (not bad mind you just not special).
Coaches can do so much but they have to have 1 talent, 2 desire and 3 Opportunity (you can not be behind in games and expect a ton of pass rushing attempts).
