With just 2 more weeks remaining in the regular season, it'll be very interesting to see whether or not Galion can hold on to first place alone, or whether Shelby, River Valley, Clear Fork or Pleasant can tie them for 1st by the end of the season. Galion has, though, clinched at least a tie for the MOAC Title.

Galion has not clinched a tie in MOAC If Shelby wins out (beat RV and Clear Fork) and Galion loses to Pleasant, Shelby wins outright. 5-1 conference record, Galion would have 4-2 conference record.

interesting last 2 weeks in moac last week, tough 2 games for shelby, river valley and cleark for and its possible that shelbyu lose both and end league with 3 losses. i think galion loads up against kipp and at pleasant,it should be a shootout. pleasant win both they end up 4-2 moac.so its going to be a mess if shelby dont win both league games.

Which shows the power of the MOAC. Two losses for a league champ (multiple champs), and five teams still vying for playoff spots say a lot about this conference.

It’s much more solid than some on here would want you to think.

I like the set-up of the MOAC today. It is stronger than it has been for the last 30 years. Three teams making the playoffs with two others' fate being decided in week 10 shows how tough this conference is. Whether the MOAC makes noise in the playoffs is another thing. Good luck to Pleasant, Shelby, and Galion in the playoffs.

Agreed. My hope is they can find a suitable 8th team and the conference can stay stable. I think the fact that 4 teams could’ve shared the conference title shows how balanced it has been as well. It shows you’d better bring your beat every week or you could get beat. Every team experienced that this year.

If Harding can get more talent on the field like ‘17 18 and 19 they could make it even better. Playing mostly jv players from last season was a tough watch this year, but they have experience now.

I saw the River Valley at Lexington game and afterwards I was a little surprised they were a possible playoff team when the game began. Were they missing some kids to injuries or something?

The longer Harding finishes last in the league in football may have a direct affect on how long they are wanted in the MOAC.

The interesting thing about River Valley is that they were a much better team at home. They beat Clear Fork at home. They only lost 17-7 to Shelby at home. They were pounded at Galion. They were pounded at Pleasant. They lost 28-0 at Lexington.

Pleasant defeated River Valley at RV, not on The Tundra.

I stand corrected. As hot as Pleasant has been it doesn’t matter where they play, they have played well.

Just kiddin What was the deal with Lex didn't they try to get in this past year? Marion County schools and Galion voted no. I have been told the Galion Ad avoids playing Lexington in any sport if at all possible. River Valley has not issues with playing Lexington but wants Highland in their league. Pleasant does not want to ad another school not in the Central District. Harding will vote however RV and MP do so they can keep their place in the league. I was told the "NO" votes came because of fear those schools could not compete regularly with Lexington across the board in all sports. If this is true, I find it laughable that schools would rather have a school with poor athletic success in their league instead of a school with proven success in athletics.

Lex defeated RV and Ontario and lost to Shelby and CF this year. Does a vote to accept a school or to expel a school have to be unanimous?

Lex defeated RV and Ontario and lost to Shelby and CF this year. Does a vote to accept a school or to expel a school have to be unanimous? It is normal when leagues are voting to consider new members they require a minimum 2/3s vote in favor of. Not many require unanimous as it would rarely happen. In this case the outcome of the vote may have been 4-3. In favor to not consider moving forward.

If Lex was not a good fit who is ? Fredericktown, Mt Gilead, Crestline, Upper Sandusky ?? Lex was a good geographic region fit

Lexington, Wynford, bucyrus, upper Sandusky are all fits for moac

I don't think Shelby, Galion, Clear Fork, or Pleasant would want a small school like Crestline size.

Lexington, Wynford, bucyrus, upper Sandusky are all fits for moac I heard rumors the other day of a push by Crawford County to merge Bucyrus High and Wynford into one school within the next 5 years. Like the idea or not, money talks and so does the lack of. The cost savings are most likely being evaluated as you read this.
