It can always be a big game regardless of who has won. But it's not much of a rivalry by definition. Maybe so, ask upper and cc kid’s though and see if they think it’s a bit of a rivalry. My thoughts are they would say yes. Kids or players will feed off of what their coach tells them. The N10 records show Upper to be 7-1 against CC and Upper is 22-7 against CC all-time. So you and the kids can think what every you want but until you start beating Upper a few times, they own this short term so called rivalry. |

Only common theme is upper and cc at the top of league. Upper has dominated n10 as they should. Cc has been there top challenger year in year out. Thus as in years past, is a BIG game. Why should they? |

So is Ohio State-Michigan football no longer a rivalry?  rivalry — noun — competition for the same objective or for superiority in the same field Right now Upper has shown who is superior in the N10 contests between them and CC with a 7-1 record. I would consider OSU and UM a rivalry because that record is 50-46-4 in Big Ten history between the two teams. |

Any relation to Ed Young that played for Upper in early 80s? I remember "that" Ed Young @ Upper. I can recall driving over to Upper in '81 or '82 and seeing him play. He was a tall kid (6' 9'' or so) who was not very stocky, just long and quick around the basket. I think he went on to play w/ the Dayton Flyers. and did quite well there. Sadly, the main thing that I remember about that trip that night (to and from Upper) was the fact that on that very same return trip, one of my good friends' (whose name was Scott) sister (whose name was Kelly) was killed in a car wreck as they were returning (in her boyfriends car, not mine).  Old State Route 30 was closed down for quite a while as the OHP saw to the accident. We were diverted onto a country road and, as a result, took about an hour and a half to get back to town. Funny; the things we remember from our childhood. I still think about that night when I'm in the vicinity of Upper, even when I'm on "new" 30. |

You could say that but sometimes the best coaches don’t win whether they have the best talent or not. 😉 We are still talking about a record of 7-1 correct? So it looks like they have the most talent as you have said and the best coaching since the talent is always there. |

As their win / loss record reflects
Upper has had the best talent and that
talent has been coached very well by Winslow.
Crawford has had a lot of talent
over that same time period.
Not sure Crawford’s talent has been coached
as well as Uppers.
Maybe this season will be different.
Crawford has players who can score
and a lot of height.
Plus they have held their first two opponents below 40 pts.
They can win this game at Upper tonight.
Crawford by 5.
Hope someone posts updates.

26 19 upper at half. Vent hits big 3 at buzzer. Cc needs to keep it within 6 heading into 4th then i think cc has a chance. Both teams a little tight so far

If that is true I would hope Sheldon loses every game the rest of the season and he should be removed from all positions with the basketball coaches association. |

It is absolutely true. He didn't shake hands before the game either. As soon as the shot went through the basket, he made a beeline for the locker room and never looked back. And yes, the players did followed him and didn't shake hands either. The ONLY pass I MAY give him is that Upper students swarmed the floor and Lord only knows how long it would have taken to get sorted out. That being said, it was IMO a poor example by him. |

There was zero chance for any handshakes the way the floor got stormed. It was a saftey issue at that point. With the emotions and the talking going on it was absolutly the right move to get our players out of what could of been a very bad situation. Just getting to the locker room was difficult.
