All sports? Absolutely not! Now football, fine. But they have wrestling but I think old fort and new riegel should!!! Why do you think Old Fort and New Riegel should go independent for sports? Neither has football, so they don't cause scheduling problems there. Both traditionally field very competitive teams in other boys and girls sports.
I said fine for st Mary’s going independent for football only but they have wrestling (sarcasm) How is Old Fort’s and New Riegel’s wrestling programs? (more sarcasm) want to be upset then be upset with the SBC for not doing a two year probation period. This is gonna get a lot more common for the River division and other smaller conferences (no sarcasm)

If you’re a senior or even a junior why would you want to play jv? I understand the reasoning on the conference side, but there’s also the student-athlete side Because you REALLY love playing football. Playing JV is better than playing in your backyard. That’s an opinion. I’ve played in a lot more interesting backyard games than a 46-0 Saturday morning JV game.

No you’re not. Even though seniors can play jv it’s very rare. A kid comes out for the first time as a senior because he knows he’s going to contribute (Nick Dials)

This was talking about a school that was just starting football. Dials joined the team of kids that had already been thru multiple seasons. In this conversation the team was being made for the first time. There is a difference.

I’ve played in a lot more interesting backyard games than a 46-0 Saturday morning JV game. I played in a few backyard games in my pre Junior High days....but parents weren't in the stands. I wasn't wearing a school uniform. No real football shoes and helmets. It wasn't 11 on 11. We weren't running real plays. No coaches coaching on the sideline. Not the same....IF you REALLY love playing the game.

Does anyone have any idea of how many kids have been showing up so far for any of the SBC teams?
