Royalbballfan has been quiet lately. Happens when any early unexpected lead in league play turns into 3rd place and maybe 4th or 5th in the near future and his "Dean" of the league is out of snappy quotes.

“The only thing tonight showed us is that we’re not good enough to be league champions,” Mohr said. “We contended, we’re just not good enough to be league champions. We still have a lot to play for. We’ll learn from this and move forward.”
Ran out of blue Kool-Aid.

Wynford is still the Wynford of the present not the past, regardless of who the coach is. I don't see that changing any time soon.

Good win by CC. Should just about wrap up 2nd place. Time to fine tune some things and keep getting prepared for tournaments.

Wynford played their last boys BB game last night at the "House of Thrills" as they will move into a new school and gym next year. Does anyone know their all time record in that gym?. Did they ever play any "home" games anywhere else in the early days of the district (early 1960's)?

Heard one of Uppers starters is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Yes terrible thing. Same kid who as a sophomore had both his legs fractured in a basketball game on a freak accident. Young man's high school career is over. He was a good baseball player as well and from what I heard surgery and 6-9 months rehab.

Congrats to the Eagles for finishing off a 19-3 regular season. A special congrats to Fenner and Feichtner for both achieving 1000 points in there years at CC. Two of the nicest and most humble kids you could meet!! On to tournaments where if CC takes care of business in sectionals a showdown awaits with this areas best team in Willard. Good luck Eagles!!!!

Lots of rumors on the board about the Rams. Anyone care to comment?? as of right now they r down 4 players, 3 starters and 1 sub. One could come back because it is an ankle injury don’t know how bad but they r for sure down 3 guys

One could come back because it is an ankle injury don’t know how bad but they r for sure down 3 guys Unless the ankle is broke, as a senior in tournament you tape, brace and play. Unless you feel you can win without him and give him a few more days to rest. Losing 3 players that can run, defend and shot threes will change their team in a big way. If they are concerned about Mansfield's rebounding they could start the 2 big boys and become more of a half court team.

I'm a little surprised a team with 2 wins can get 2 players all conference honors. Also, that US did not have another player on first team.
