Sounds like golf is the thing at Willard. Not soccer.

Sure we can have great programs in any sport as long as players put in the work and coaches have a good solid plan to up the program. I love football and there is no reason Willard can’t have a good program. That doesn’t mean going 10-0 every year it means being very competitive with the teams on your schedule. Willard better ALWAYS have the #1 sport and that is football!!!!!
In my opinion the current coaching staff isn’t going to make it Not to down the coaches...I just don’t see it happening.

Im hearing from a inside source that the Stevens kid is still battling injury in his leg, also hear he doesn’t want to play for Willard anymore because the coach is ruining his “passion” for the sport. Anyone else hear about this? Who did you hear that from? Dump's drug dealer.

Let’s recap of this past season. Are the flashes really returning anything? Are these coaches still here? If so where they not gone yet? 0-11? Worst team in the state? Wanna hear everyone else’s thoughts on next season for a young flashes squad

After getting our ***** handed to us by Plymouth, Margaretta, and Vermillion amongst others, a coaching change needs to be made. Willard should never be losing to Plymouth or Buckeye Central. Not sure who would want to come coach at Willard right now, but we need to get the money right and get someone who is willing to overhaul the program and restore it to the point where we are at least beating the teams we're supposed to beat and celebrating a kid breaking the school rushing record in the midst of one the worst seasons in OHSAA history.

"Getting the money right", will get you a major OHSAA infraction. In most cases there's a stipulation in the teacher's contract on the % of a teacher's salary that is paid for each sports head coaches and assistant coaches. That's public schools, privates can pay them anything they want to. That means no way to legally "get it right".

I doubt he would want to leave a MAC school for Willard. I doubt benefits alone make a big deal to a guy like him but I gotta think benefits from a state run school might be a tad better than what he'd get at Willard. Trust me health care is a big expense I don't care how much cash you have.

Is this his choice or asked to step down? He was allowed to resign. In retrospect, not his fault he was in over his head and he is wished well. Hopefully he learns from this and becomes a great assistant somewhere for now. Can't fault him that he applied and Willard hired him... so he took the job. Also to be honest it's tough to blame the Willard hiring process this most recent time. Willard had other coaches in mind that applied but I believe one or more of them pulled out last minute and left the cupboard quite bare. Hopefully this time unearths a diamond in the rough.

Understandable. The coaching pool is shallow nowadays for a variety of reasons, especially when you’re in a rut which is why most are looking for a coach to begin with. Vicious cycle.

Wish him well. As I said when this was going down, it wasn't fair to him how this all happened, Devier pulling his BS and then him getting the job 2 months into the start of conditioning, he started behind the 8 ball. Also, I stated Eicher should have coached at least that first year after Devier left, that would have given them time to try and restock that cupboard.

hehehehe hehehehe hahahahaha hahahahaha hohohohohoho
The smartest choice to make is to just end the program now, but we still have some holdouts that think Willard football still has a pulse. Those people are in total denial, Willard football died 15 years ago, it's not going to come back to life. It's gone.
So who should Willard hire? A woman. And not just any woman, a Karen.
Paging all Willard football players, the Willard soccer team is looking for some good recruits. Willard soccer is about winning Willard soccer is about team comradery Willard soccer is about getting it's players scholarships to college Willard soccer is about becoming the premier soccer program in the State of Ohio Willard soccer is about attention to detail (think Nick Saban) Willard soccer is about to dominate all competition (think Nick Saban on roids) Don't miss out, join now
