We heard Lucas and Lex each have 3 players out. At least 1 from each team are starters but most were back ups. Lex had 3 kids out the first game. One was a starter and 3 year letterman, one was a back up and the other was a jv guy.

I guess next week we will find out how good West Holmes is, but that offense has been pretty good so far.

The defenses WH went against in the 1st 2 weeks are suspect at best.

Looking forward to the West Holmes-Wooster game. Seems like a great match-up. In the end the team that makes the least mistakes should win, sounds cliche I know, but really the margin for error will be small in my opinion.

WH gave up 4 interceptions, Wooster won the game in the trenches and was just more physical. Really wore WH down as the game went on.

They used to be in a league with most of the OCC schools and were unanimously removed after a number of issues were not being address. Every school may have a rowdy crowd on occasion but they were a problem at a lot of events and it was getting worse. Their administration was not in agreement with all of the other schools in the league that their crowds were out of control and borderline unsafe. So the rest of that league took action.

Harding and Senior were rivals in the Buckeye, and I knew they were in the OHC.

At least no worse than any other schools.

Big win for Ashland 13-6 over Mansfield. Not sure i expected Ashland to hold Mansfield to 6 points. Credit to Ashland coaches who have worked so hard to get this defense turned around the last few years. I also don’t know what the officials were locking into, but I promise Ashland won’t have as many holding calls the rest of the year like they did tonight.

Mansfield is trying to live off their last season success. They have not figured out that none of those games have carried over.

When you have freshmen playing on your OL there is no chance of any repeat of last season's success.

When you have freshmen playing on your OL there is no chance of any repeat of last season's success. I'm not saying they can repeat last season's success. Playing a freshman in a varsity position can mean one of two things. That freshman is a stud and their future looks very promising, Or you nothing better in that position and the freshman is your best option.

I was thinking about this today. In the post season this year everyone qualifies, this means that there are going to be some teams that have a bye week in the first round in order to make the brackets work. Lets say Ashland and Wooster both win this week, and get seeded with bye weeks in the first round of the playoffs. Would they be able to schedule a game during that week?

Lets say Ashland and Wooster both win this week, and get seeded with bye weeks in the first round of the playoffs. Would they be able to schedule a game during that week? Yes, if they wanted to. But also as time rolls closer to the bracket date, less teams are being figured in for a bye since teams are announcing they are opting out of the playoff. The number of teams declining the playoff is still growing.

I'd say Madison scoring 26 is a surprise.
AND Lex scoring 10, they had only scored 1 TD in the first 4 games!
