How are the numbers looking for the teams in these first days of practice? I haven’t heard much about numbers. Only thing I have heard is Harding and Pleasant seem to be a little messy with their coaching staffs. Hear both are not going as well as expected. Time will tell. Heard Harding had like 30 Seniors. That should help.

How are the numbers looking for the teams in these first days of practice? Shelby has around 70, 9-12 grade INTERESTING NOTE: Shelby still hasn't fielded a Varsity or even a Junior Varsity Boys Soccer Team. They have, however, fielded a Girls Soccer Team that has competed at the Varsity Level for at least the last couple of years. All of the other teams in the MOAC can and do field Varsity Boys Soccer teams. Evidently football is still "king" in Shelby.

So I asked around and heard Pleasant has 38 kids out. Assuming Shelby will be tough again this year. Can’t wait to watch all the great teams in this league. Almost here.

Now that some counties are once again "red" in the covid transmission cycle, will there be another effect on the football season this year?

Now that some counties are once again "red" in the covid transmission cycle, will there be another effect on the football season this year? There shouldn’t. Transmission outdoors is nearly zero and last I checked football is an outdoor sport. We’ll see if logic prevails. I’m not optimistic.

Besides no one is dying. Everyone over 60 is already dead or has been vaccinated

How are the numbers looking for the teams in these first days of practice? Galion is in the low 60’s grades 9-12.

Shelby girls soccer, this is their first year as an official varsity sport. The first year they played a mostly JV schedule, last year all varsity. As for boys, I really don’t hear much of a demand for boys soccer in Shelby. So yes, I guess you could say football is still king.

Threw 3 interceptions. That is a rough day for sure. Pleasant tied Fredricktown and beat Elgin in a toss up. All 3 teams looked like they are ready for winter sports already. Hoping it gets better for all 3 teams.

The allowing the coaches to have contact for the whole summer rule is just for this year?

The allowing the coaches to have contact for the whole summer rule is just for this year? After allowing and not allowing what they did this year, who knows what they'll allow next year. Hopefully the coaches input will be taken seriously into consideration, Even though the format next year won't satisfy every coach.

The allowing the coaches to have contact for the whole summer rule is just for this year? Mansfield OFFERED workouts and training ( for many a positive place to go) all summer long once school was out knowing some kids would be doing nothing else. it gave them a chance to improve their skills instead of walking the streets or sitting at home. They did not have team practice 5 days a week during June and July.

Harding should be good in skill positions and probably the fastest team in the league. They will hurt in the trenches though, likely being their downfall. 4-6 prediction.

Why do Mansfield coaches have to worry about having "a positive place to go" and kids "walking the streets", while Lexington coaches don't have to worry about same?

Ohio raised, let it go. It's not worth it. Please do not let Mansfield take over the MOAC thread.
