Is Fostoria staying with the NBC or will they be shuffled around? Where else would they go?

Really interesting who and where they go to fill their schedule in their non income sports - Soccer, swimming, golf, tennis. Do al the NBC have those as well?
I really don't get why they would leave.

Lots of rumors that Maumee will be going to the NBC. Board meeting soon there is some strong legs to this as well. As was said here OH likely staying in Bay then. So SBC should be removed from any changes unless its in the River. But honestly, I don't even think of the River when I think of the SBC...

I think Maumee to NBC would strengthen Oak Harbor's interest, assuming Woodmore is a foregone conclusion to leave.

If Maumee were to go to the NBC which schools would then be in the NBC? Also which would then be the smallest of the schools in the league?

Maumee and Oak Harbor have both received formal invites from the NBC. Maumee's board meeting today with league affiliation as the sole agenda item. Not likely that any decision will be made today, but would be no surprise for Maumee to approve the move at their 3/22 board meeting.
OH has not responded per the NBC commish.

Goodbye Woodmore. I highly doubt they want to be the NBC punching bag for much longer. Two of their three wins this past season were against Margaretta and Gibsonburg. I would think this decision just pushed them out the door.

Their BOE voted 5-0 at their meeting today.

SBC isn’t keen on Woodmore. They’ve dragged their feet and now Oak Harbor doesn’t have an opening in NBC.

Either Woodmore leaves or a contingent of 5 or 6 leave to form a new conference looking for the right friends to join them. Can’t believe OH is dumb enough to move on.

NBC has all of those except for swimming and tennis. A couple of the NBC schools have swim teams, though they do not compete in a conference.

Two sports that OH excels in. 100% football driven - still can't figure as to why.

Maumee's school board says that they will continue with their tennis programs and simply play a non-league schedule.
What is the advantage of Oak Harbor going to the NBC? Rivalry with Genoa?

OH has a history with Eastwood, Genoa, and Otsego from old SLL days. OH basically left for the SBC because it was tired going 10-0, but missing the Playoffs.

Oak Harbor will be cutting down on travel. A lot of shorter trips in the NBC. Genoa, Pemberville and Millbury are all close to them.
I really think the schools should’ve gotten in front of this and started making plans for an 8 team league to avoid the shuffling around of Oak Harbor leaves. Won’t be bringing Margaretta up to the Bay and does the Bay want Clyde or Bellevue in it?

It’s being proactive and avoid the constant unknown and moving around. New SBC Huron Port Clinton Edison Vermilion Willard Perkins Bellevue Clyde I know that leaves TC, Sandusky and Norwalk in the dark but something has to be done before it’s to late for some schools.

River schools have no motivation or benefit to leaving, IMO.

What year(s) was that? 10-0 or years in the Suburban Lakes League? OH left after 85-86 school year. OH and Edison replaced Calvert and SJCC. Edison basically had same problem. 9-1/10-0 wasn't cutting it in the Firelands.

Does the OCC have an opening? The OCC has always been in favor of either 8 or 10 teams. Adding Norwalk or Tc would be terrible with West Holmes, Mount Vernon and New Philly.
