Ashland always plays tough against Wooster even if they are having a down year. I look for that one to be closer.

I have a feeling that Mansfield will be there toughest game just because how athletic Mansfield is.

I agree that Mansfield could be tough as well. The bottom line is that you can't look past any team in the OCC. This is High School Football, a game of momentum and emotion. One of the reasons I love to watch the game. All it takes is one night of thinking that you should win just because you show up, to have someone take your lunch.

If Wooster gets their lunch taken it would be for that reason (thinking that you should win just because you show up) and not for who they are playing.

Great win for Ashland, but will need to bring it again this week to get a win at Mansfield. What happend to Madison? I can see losing to West Holmes by something crazy but to get beat by 24 points is pretty bad.

The Madison score shocked me. I have never heard so much silence around a D1 recruit.

Conference is shaping up to be more competitive than most thought. Although I picked Wooster to win this week against Lex I could honestly see this go either way. Wooster may still have some key injuries that could have an impact. Should be a good game.

Is anyone surprised that the only team with a D1 committed athlete is at the bottom of the conference?

The reason I ask is with the numbers being down for some of the teams in the OCC, I can imagine having a D1 player that plays multiple positions(offense, defense and special teams).

The only thing that surprises me is that he stayed at Madison. That had been talked about since he was in 8th grade.

With Wooster hosting Lexington and Mansfield at home with West Holmes, if the home teams win the Tygers will be in the driver seat setting up a big game with Wooster next week.

It will be interesting to see how things end up. Hearing Wooster is dealing with some big injurys, and also saw in the paper today that Ashland might have lost two, two way starters for the year. Might be which team can stay healthy to the end.

I hate hearing about injuries but Isn't that always the case with sports. More so with football but injuries always seem to play a role. It sure does add another element to game prep when you are missing key athletes.

Yep - Just read in the local paper today that two Wooster players are out for the season. Hope the younger guys can step in but I think this will have a big impact for Wooster unfortunately.

I believe one is the Sophomore starting PG from last year's varsity bball team. He was a starting WR and safety this year for the football team.

Neither of Ashland injured players are basketball players. Only injury for Wooster I know of is a senior LB.

Excerpt from today's paper below...
"In last week's 42-20 win over Clear Fork, linebacker Antonio Crossty suffered a major knee injury that will cost him the rest of his senior season. Junior safety/wide receiver Calvin Blair had arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday and will miss at least the rest of the regular season, and senior Quintyn Hall, a two-way starter at cornerback and wideout, is doubtful for tonight after getting a stinger last week"
