My point that went through the ear holes, which could be my fault. Is that he is NOW starting at QB. Which Urban says, "Is the single most important position in ALL sports". Playing it very well in more than one aspect. Leading his team in more ways than before. All things he's never done before. Some start at QB as a Sophomore. Some put in the time so they can rise to the occasion when they are a senior. IMO, a team with a significant number of those type of student athletes leads to Conference Titles. Ask any coach. Don't be obstinate. IMO he's the OCC's most valuable player. Did The OCC Potentate even consider that a possibility last year?

Mansfield/Wooster and West Holmes/Lexington are big games for the OCC this week. If either road team can pull off the upset it would put a single team in the drivers seat going down the final stretch of the season.
Is a 4 way tie conceivable with teams going 4-2?

Since Logan Pfizenmeyer is such a hot topic on here right now I figure I will tell you guys what I know about him since I actually went to school with him. He was his classes starting qb all the way from 7th grade to freshmen year, and the understanding was that he was going to be the man senior year. He was the backup his sophomore and junior years while playing extensively at LB junior year. He has always been extremely dedicated to the sport and his team, dropping basketball to focus on lifting in the winter and took up track to improve his speed during the springs. The fact that he is so dynamic comes as no suprise to me since he as worked so hard to get to this point. He is without a doubt the leader of the team and he thrives on it.

Thank you triplex300. Most of us on here knew he was not a one hit wonder playing in his first varsity season. Watching the kid play for years you could see his love for the sport.

This week is big for the title.
Lexington / Mansfield = Lex can either claim a share or let Mansfield back in the chase. Ashland / Madison = Ashland stays in the hunt for an OCC with a win and sets up wk 10 Wooster / West Holmes = Wooster in a big way but they need tons of help for the OCC crown Clear Fork / Mt Vernon = The Jackets seem to be getting better.

Certainly has been an entertaining year in the conference. I can see a real possibility for Lex to win out.

Ashland 24 Lex 21 - those 2 split the OCC title.
4th time in 5 seasons that the OCC title is shared.

Ashland's win means 2 OCC teams make the playoffs in the 6th and 7th spots in Region 10 of DIII. Wooster with a better record finishes out of the playoffs in the 10th position in Region 7 of DII. DII Mt. Vernon joining the OCC and DV Clear Fork leaving the OCC should help DII Wooster and other schools in the future.

Wooster may have a better record but they have only 1 win over a team with a winning record. A school their size needs to bump up their of schedule and beat teams with winning records.

Didn't all of the OCC schools already play Mt. Vernon this season? It certainly seemed like it. I thought that they replaced Orrville. Who is replacing Clear Fork?

Mt. V. played 4 OCC schools, resulting in a 1-3 record. I see looking at their schedule that the beat Clear Fork 20-14 in 3 overtimes. Anyone know what the score of that game was at the end of regulation?

Size matters for first level points. YOu need your opponent to get wins to get second level points and that means a lot.

Mt Vernon could not get make the switch completely for fear of financial penalty from the Columbus OCC. In the process, some of the teasm from the local OCC found Orrville replacements to guarantee a full schedule. Next season Mt Vernon will be in the local OCC 100% but they will still have only 7 teams unless they find a replacement for Clear Fork.
