BigHoss, From what some of my friends are telling they are still planning on continuing with the rivalry. Those two places really hate each other. Cass in point when the fans came on the basketball court and began fighting (at least that's what I was told and read in the paper ). Don.t remember the year that it happen, maybe Willy can tell us.

I do believe you are right about it being a shoot-out Scott so bring a six-shooter. Hell just bring six shooters.

Galion, just to let you know that my oldest son was a senior on that championship team and I used to coach them in the lower levels and I can tell you that everyone on that team went through St. Paul's schools from pre-3 on up. So that remark about recruiting has no basics to be true. Also along with Norwalk St. Paul's there is Sandusky St. Mary's, Fremont St. Joe's, Tiffin Calvert and Elyria Catholic. Except in Elyria and Lorain there are NO D-1 schools in the area.

I believe the last team from the area to win a state football title was in 2009 with Norwalk St. Paul's winning it. They had a group of seniors that made sure that everyone on the team was on the same page all the way through the season.

Umbrella how are you and your wife doing? Lit that candle for Eva and your family last Saturday at mass and said a prayer of comfort for you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

All poor baby. Now maybe he'll find out what my brothers and felt like being under the sights of someone intending to kill you. I will watch my Steelers because the whole team decided to respect the FLAG because one of their teammates fought for our country and flag in Afcan. more than once with the 75th. rangers.

WF, I'm like you on this one. I love to just sit down pick up the paper and open it to the sports page and read everything. I remember when, at least here in Norwalk, we would read about what every team in the NOL, Firelands, and even the SBC did the night before along with the summary box on team passing yrds. att./comp./int. rushing yrds./att. punting yrds./att. and fg. yrds./att./comp./blkd. And on defense tackles, interceptions and anything else. Then they had what players did on those things above. They would also give the league leaders in those categories (I think that's how you spell it). But times have change and so has the price of a paper. Even my oldest son say's that some of these reporters don't even know how to write a simple sentence structure. And my son is only a senior in college. Those were days my friend and sure wish we could have them back ( within reason ).

Umbrella, My heart is breaking for you and your wife over the news of little Eva. I don't have the words of comfort for you and your wife but our Lord did have a plan and he must known that the two of you would have given her the LOVE of Family that she was really needing even for such a very short time. BLESSED ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, FOR THEY ARE WITH HIM. Umbrella if you and your wife ever need help let me know and my family will be there. Tomorrow at Mass I'll light a candle for Eva and your family.

Hudson, BB is right, go down to the bottom of page to view today's birthday on the main page. I usually check to see if anybody I know is having a bday. And don't worry on the age thing. I usually call everybody an old man, even if they are only 3 years older than my oldest son. I'm only 61 years old and my wife sometimes say that I act like a young boy.
