Those kids who got in trouble should just move over to Harding....or as they are known around the league "The no blood, no foul/punishment free zone."

Hearing some rumors of unrest among Pleasant fans in regards to what they deem "under-performance" from Coach Cook's teams. Anyone else hear anything about this? Jed You are going to have that when you replace a legend like Kubbs as head coach. The Pleasant faithful got really spoiled by having Kubbs for 20 years. However, the kids and parents of the players seem to really like Cook. He has done an excellent job of building team unity and getting the older players to really bond with and help teach the younger players the ropes. That said, it would be nice to see some deep playoff runs here in the next few years or the whispers may grow louder.

You are so right about line size. It matters not if you can't block. I remember Pleasant going up against Liberty Center in the playoffs in 1997 or 98 and their line was a bunch of 185 pound kids but all they needed to do was turn their defender and hold the block for a couple of seconds. They were so well drilled at it that I walked away extremely impressed. They turned much bigger guys and gave their running backs enough of a crease to just pound forward for positive yards on almost every play.

RV has some boys on the line once again. I have no idea if they can block but I was talking to a parent of one of the linemen the other night and he was saying their guards are 240 and 260, one tackle is around 280 and another is over 300 and they all move well. They are replacing a lot of speed and talent at the skill positions but my guess is Doug Green will have them well prepared for the season.
Harding has about 85 kids out this year, so John Brady has their numbers on the rise again. It has to help their recruiting within the ranks when the players know they aren't going to have to play a bunch of schools that are bigger and can absolutely blow them out.

Greetings fellow MOAC fans. Hopefully, we will get some more converts to this board as that always makes things more fun. I don't post a lot but I always enjoy hearing everyone's viewpoint on their team. I look for Pleasant to be massively improved over last year's team and go back to what has worked well for them in the past. I look for them to be 3-0 when they enter league play against JA. It gets a lot tougher once they hit the MOAC but I think they will be back to fighting for a playoff spot this season.
