No, it's not going to be above the upper deck. They are removing a lot of B deck seating (the sections trapped under the overhang with obstructed views) and putting suites there. The overall official capacity of the stadium will drop to 102,854 in 2018. Currently it's 104,944 thanks to the 2014 renovations which had brought it up from 102,329. So stadium attendance records set during this current 2014-2017 era will likely stand for quite a long time. www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/genrel/032916aac.html

Explain........ I like the idea that they are going about things in a controlled growth approach. I remember a large stadium, with little character that resides to the north of us, had all it's seating re-configured to add capacity. People sit literally shoulder to shoulder in their tiny, alotted space......No thank you.

Oh my response was to ur question not QCC's explanation...as in i am not sure what the design of the aforementioned suites entails.

My tickets were in B Deck in '12, second to,last row. It was like watching from the inside of a box. Right after kick-off, a gentleman came up to us and said some ticket holders were not coming to the game and invited us to sit in those seats. He said he'd already cleared it with the usher. 2nd row from the rail. He saved my marriage.

I will attest to Michigan being tight quarters. Last year our seats were normally held by season ticket holders and they have little "M" cushions on them. Fat bastard I am, I had to put down a blanket for about half a butt cheek. The plus side is all that closeness keeps a body warm...

By the way, who da think Iowa would get upset by NDSU, or FSU decimated by Lousville??? Took my kid to Fargo to wrestle a few years ago and became a secretive Bison fan in a week.. The Fargodome and campus just won me over.. Hate seeing a B1G team lose to a lesser, but secretly loved seeing NDSU get that upset win..

Did you know that the starting QBs at LSU and Florida this week are former Purdue QBs?!?

Purdue has historically been a great producer of QBs. Len Dawson, Bob Griese, Gary Danielson and Kyle Orton not greats but played a long time in the NFL, Drew Brees, I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting.

I think Miami likes to refer to themselves as Quarterback U. I think that title certainly belongs to Purdue.

So funny - one of the news stations had this on this morning and the one anchorman couldn't stop laughing. His partner had to take over. They said she was a photographer, and she didn't suffer any injuries - other than to her pride. Glad she didn't fall on her camera.

LSU fires Les Miles! Guess that late snap cost him his job. What a gamut of emotions experienced by both teams in the short aftermath of this wild finish. Les Miles is cleaning out his desk tonight.

I don't like mid-year firings unless there is some sort of malfeasance going on. Les will land on his feet, with a pay cut, somewhere east of the Rockies.

I agree, unless they've committed a felony or some grievous offense, firing a coach early or mid season makes zero sense. It amounts to a sucker punch to the team, it's players and the fans. I suspect there may have been some secret communications and talks, long before this.

Don't you remember the end of last season? It was a surprise to nobody that he was fired, just the timing of it. On the bright side at least he's available now for when Harbaugh decides to go back to the NFL since Myles was the guy that they coveted for all those years.

off Wikipedia: Looking at strictly passing yards in the pros it's easily Purdue, although counting Jeff George as a Purdue guy is kind of shady. Notre Dame is the next closest in passing yards. I think passing yards in the pros is more significant. The other barometer is strictly playing in the NFL and that could be a few short seasons, or time spent on the bench. Whereas, passing yards translates into actual PT, lending itself to more credibility.

So, how many of you are watching Notre Dame play NC State? They are on the outer edge of hurricane Matthew but still playing the game. The field is completely waterlogged and merely holding the ball is a challenge. I'm not sure if state is responsible for playing the game in a hurricane or the referees, but it doesn't really matter. I simply love that they didn't wuss out and decided to go ahead and play the game if possible. It's a memory those young men will never forget win or lose.
