Big plus that it's not on field turf too. Sissies and their field turf, football is about mud and grass.

So, how many of you are watching Notre Dame play NC State? They are on the outer edge of hurricane Matthew but still playing the game. The field is completely waterlogged and merely holding the ball is a challenge. I'm not sure if state is responsible for playing the game in a hurricane or the referees, but it doesn't really matter. I simply love that they didn't wuss out and decided to go ahead and play the game if possible. It's a memory those young men will never forget win or lose.the cherished memory of playing in one of the most un-watchable college football games ever awful

Missing the point there torch. There are tons of games at all levels played that mean nothing every fall except to those participants in each individual game. But they will remember playing in a hurricane, and I'm sure it will be a good memory regardless.

This Tennessee @ Texas A&M game has been nuts.
UT continuing with their team of destiny vibe, having all sorts of crazy things go their way. Now going to OT.

^^^ Yes crazyness, I'm watching too. That was the play of the game, punching the ball out for the touchback, then Tenn. coming back scoring the tying touchdown. Now in double overtime.

How about Houston getting dumped on by navy?

How stupid is Rutgers coach Chris Ash? During the off season he decided to tweak Harbaugh and make some statement's about wanting to seal off New Jersey. He follows up poking the bear by scheduling Michigan for a night game and inviting 200 ish recruits for their biggest recruiting event of the year.
The results? a 78-0 complete and total annihilation that ranks as one of the biggest beat downs in modern college football history. Rutgers didn't get a damn first down until Michigan started using back up offensive linemen as defensive linemen late in the fourth. They were so incredibly inept last night that Michigan was running fullback dives for 15 yard touchdowns.
Good luck selling anyone on your program now Ash.

That's the kind of stuff that can curl a guys toes... i've been thru worse was at my ex's aunt's for Christmas one year and someone broke out the 1995 Indians highlights video on VHS...all i wanted for Christmas was for someone to shoot me, who on Earth watches that Poop? Indians fans? that wasn't necessarily strike 3 with my ex, but it was a big chunk of strikes 1 and 2...i got up and left halfway thru and my ex had to catch a ride home with her brother...and eff both of them, i warned her

Watching the collapse of the Rutgers football program has everyone scratching their heads at the wisdom of admitting Rutgers to the Big Ten. I'm sure Northwestern is happy to have the focus taken off of them for a change. So much for moving into to the lucrative New York market area yadi, yadi.
Chris Ash short tenure at Rutgers will undoubtedly end after this season, if he survives that long. He'll be back to his familiar role of position coach, or perhaps be lucky enough to log on as a head coach at some mid-major institution.
In the mean time, the Big Ten is looking pretty stupid right now, with the joke of the northeast....Rutgers, casting a negative for the conference, instead of all the glossy positives and superlatives that were cast about at their time of this acquisition and induction.

Did anyone expect MSU to collapse as badly as they have? Losing 4 in a row and getting drilled by Northwestern this week? MSU has prided themselves on their good defenses under Dantonio, but not much to be proud of this year. The Spartans have given up 30, 24, 31, and 54 points on consecutive weekends.
Nebraska is having a heck of a season so far, but they'll have their feet in the fire in coming weeks. The Huskers roll in to Madison for a Saturday night game (7Pm) and they travel to Columbus the following Saturday night (8 pm kickoff) The Big Ten has more marquee matchups this year than we have seen in a long, long while.

The B1G also has the second firing of a coach midsession this year. Today, Purdue fired Darrell Hazel after they lost to Iowa this weekend. He'll still be paid a $4.45 million buy out, but I honestly was hoping he would be able to right the ship in West Lafayette.

He'll still be paid a $4.45 million buy out, but I honestly was hoping he would be able to right the ship in West Lafayette. ESPN was discussing the coaching shake-ups and said Purdue was courting several of the Ohio State assistants. Personally, don't think any of our guys would be interested in the Purdue position at the present time and circumstances.

Hazell is a good guy. He was Tressel's head assistant and I really was hoping he would have some success at Purdue...at least enough that he could use it to vault to something else. He'll land on his feet somewhere.

Add to that cartoon, ESPN holding up the Alabama Elephant and the rest of the SEC. I listen to ESPN College football station on XM/Sirius and it is a continual conversational dialogue of everything Alabama and SEC to ad nauseum.

NEVER, Purdue doesn't have a big enough football budget. AND Indiana has very few 4 and 5 star HS players. The best ones go to Ohio State and Notre Dame

dang Big Brother gettin up in little brother's guts All depends on who you are referring to as 'Big Brother'. Big brother has been MSU the past 8-10 years. Michigan is trying to reclaim that title, however.

Things are getting interesting with the playoff rankings released today. Latest college football playoff rankings: 1. Alabama 2. Clemson 3. Michigan 4. Washington 5. Ohio State 6. Louisville Washington moves into the top four for the first time. We all remember Texas A&M's one week of glory, sitting in that #4 slot. Can it happen two weeks in a row? This has potential for being a trap game for the Washington Huskies. USC Trojans started off the season losing 3 of their first four, including a humiliating drubbing by Alabama on nationwide TV. The Trojans appear to have righted the ship, reeling off five straight in convincing fashion. Defensively, the Tojans and Huskies are comparable, but offensively the Huskies are the talk of the college football world......(Louisville aside). Their high powered machine is humming along at a 46 ppg clip and hasn't been held to under 31 pts., yet this year. Questions to be answered; can the USC defense find an answer for the Huskies offense, that is both innovative and versatile? Chris Peterson, brought his brilliant offensive mind from Boise and the results speak for themselves. For those of you who really love college football and consider yourself a student of the game, here is a most interesting and insightful story. 'How Does the Washington Husky Offense Work?'......a great read. www.footballstudyhall.com/2016/11/3/13486704/how-does-the-washington-husky-offense-work-chris-peterson-browning-gaskin
