It's hard to believe with that awesome bull pen that they weren't able to sustain it.

8-3 on the home stand puts the Tribe at 71-51 with a 7 game lead for first. Nice clutch hitting by Lindor and Ramirez in the 8th today.

Much needed win tonight to end a 3 game slide, offense letting out some frustration after scoring 3 runs over the last 4 games. Would be nice to get at least a split here in this Texas series.

Although the offense has been inconsistent I have been somewhat alarmed by the struggles of a few of our starting pitchers, particularly Tomlin and Salazar.

Their starting pitching continues to put the tribe behind the 8-ball. Only Kluber can get through the first inning without allowing a run or five. How about pitching a reliever for the first inning and then bring in Tomlin, Carrasco, Salazar, or whoever to start the second inning?

Well...head home losing three out of four to the Rangers. Even though it's the Twins coming up at home there's still a chance to continue losing. Thank goodness the Tigers also lost today.

Us old timers have seen this before. Bad time for the starters to go sour, me thinks it might possibly be a case of tired arms? The hitting continues to be a huge problem as I still believe (my personal opinion only) that unless they hit home runs, the Tribe has a real problem manufacturing runs. This last road trip was also bad for the home attendance for the next homestand, as now fair weather fans will turn their attention to the clowns and hs and college football. Tribe needs to run a good positive streak.

Tribe wins last night against the Twins in 10 innings 1-0. Bauer had a good night, as well as the bullpen. Hits have been few and far between.

Man....the bats have been so silent recently. Hope the hitting returns soon, with KC and Detroit heating up.

It's reported that the Indians are close to finalizing a deal to acquire Coco Crisp from the A's

Nice to get a sweep against the Twins, and now the season series is even at 8-8.
Also, the Crisp deal is official, as the Indians have traded minor league pitcher Colt Haynes to the A's for Crisp, who will be added to the Tribe roster on Friday.

It's nice to see Perez hitting a little bit finally. Though he really had no where to go but up with that horrible average.

Tribe has trouble against good teams (Nationals, Mets, Red Sox, Orioles). Hopefully they can take two out of three from the Marlins. I don't see them beating Fernandez tonight.

Tribe gets the win 8-3 and Detroit finally loses a game during this Cleveland winning streak, so the lead is up to 5.5 games

Sweet walkoff win just now by the Tribe!
Miller gave up 2 in the top of the 9th to put the Indians in a 5-3 hole, but Miami's closer came out erratic and walked the bases loaded before Ramirez tied the game with yet another clutch 2 out hit, and then Chiz won the game with a hit that landed just out of the reach of a diving Ichiro

It was a hot and bug plagued one up there tonight but still a nice game to go to. First time ive seen the Indians win in person in about 2 years, as they went 0-fer in the games I went to last year and this was only my 2nd game this year.
Anyway, great to see guys like Guyer, Perez & Chiz get some big hits, and that Napoli bomb was a thing of beauty, as was watching Allen strike out the side after giving up that single.
Magic number is now 19 (now that it's under 20 I'd say it's a good time to start tracking that)

Tomlin is being skipped again his next turn, Mr. I need to cut my hair Clevinger is taking his space though Francona said during pregame interview yesterday that he needs to act like he's in the bullpen when he takes the start.

Tribe gets the win today to split the series and end the homestand 8-2. Division lead is now 6 games and the magic number is 18. From this point on it's all divisional games, starting with a road trip of 3 at MIN and 4 at CHW.

The scary thing is, head to head divisional games can change things in a hurry. Persevere Tribe! I keep seeing the Geico commercial, the band 'Europe' belting out....'The Final Countdown'....lol

Here's hoping the Indians can maintain or increase the 6 game lead going into the critical 6 game homestand Sept.16 - Sept 22, where they host the Tigers for three games, followed by three with the Royals. Those six games may make or break the season. Ironically, they have a make-up game at Detroit to end the season....hopefully, that will be a meaningless contest.

Indians take 2 of 3 at Minnesota while Detroit loses 2 of 3 to Baltimore, so now the magic number is 14.
After the bad start the Indians had against the Twins it's nice to see them bounce back and win 5 of their last 6 games against them to take the season series 10-9.

Salazar is out and Carrasco doesn't go very far against CWS. Can the tribe beat any team that is above .500? It doesn't look that way. Not good vibes about even making it to the postseason.

Nope sportsjock, it's now 11.
That was a rough series in Chicago. Now it's on to a big series against Detroit at home, need to at the very least win 1 of the 3 to prevent a huge momentum change in the race (if we can win at least one, the lead will still be at least 5 games at the conclusion of the series)

Tribe hitting (especially with RISP) is awful. Maybe Napoli a game off or something. Clutch hitting recently has been nonexistent.
