Not for a week or 2. If I remember correctly they try to wait till the playoffs are over.
League site says banquet is the 15th and 16th. So they will be out before that.

The kids who received 1st team were notified yesterday, at least in the BLUE. 2nd team and HM will be this week, they do it by computer now, not like the old days when they all got together in a room and hashed it out. Guessing by end of week it will be public and posted on MOAC website

Just curious, now that I look at it. The BLUE Defense is only playing with 10 players!

How can Devin Pearl not be first team? He was All Ohio last year and I believe the leading reciever in conference this year?

I agree with your statement, He will probably be 1st team All-District,therefore he will be ALL-Ohio again. 1st Team All-District is how they create the ALL-Ohio Teams. Voting has been weird in this conference for a while, but not much you can do when it is the coaches who nominate and vote.

I got to say Joe Craycraft 1st team QB. I get it, but kind of a slap to the face to the Fairbanks and Marion Harding QB. Craycraft wasn't even in the top 4 QB for yards.

I think Sayer not making it is the biggest shock. Fairbanks it hard to vote for when his team simply didn't win.

Kyle Warner from Fairbanks made it

What were their completion %s. IMO the single most important attribute for a QB is accuracy. Passing yardage is often skewed by YAC of receivers.

It shows how much Harding is disliked in the conference a 5-2 league team with 1 kid

Did anyone else hear what I think I heard a few years back. Coaches could not put players from their own teams in for all anything.

Not sure on the process. That said his same league during girls basketball did not name the all district and 2nd team all state player a 1st team member.

Harding snubbed, cant say i didn't see it coming. Not saying these kids didn't deserve any all conference recognition but come on. I could see Sayre, Middlesworth, jefferson, Starner, Booker and Brady getting 1st team. But when you allow coaches (pleasant/North U)from teams that cant stand HHS to vote, you get what you get. But Sayre should be Offensive Player of the year. Abrams Defensive Player of the year. Talking to an HHS coach, Abrams had over 150 tackles on the year which he said was a single season record. Hopefully the district and all ohio voters don't make the same observations.

IMO, people get way too caught up in these all-league teams. It's a completely political discussion, and the best players often do not get the recognition they deserve. All you have to do is look at the last few years in basketball to see that. Coaches won't vote for someone because they don't like their attitude or think they're dirty, or whatever. It's just an extremely flawed process, and one that, frankly, isn't worth getting worked up about. Now, back to crying in my coffee....

I like how you somehow make it all about 2 coaches when there are 8 in the league. I am pretty sure that if 2 vote no and 6 vote yes then majority rules. Then again maybe life is easier when you can make accusations with little or no proof. So what you really are trying to say is that at least 5 coaches "can't stand" HHS players but I will blame it on 2 because that fits how I want to think? Do I think 1 HHS kid was a little low yes but I am not a coach in the league and I have zero vote.

The Marion Star, those poor folks. I would have thought they matched the MOAC website at the very least. Actually the MOAC website is missing a game also. But whatever. As for my assumptions on all league, i can only go by what I seen first hand and what the stats show. As for the votes its purely speculation based on the last MOAC meeting where these 2 coaches/AD's had zero good to say about HHS.( 1 bad potato in a bag or 2 in this case can cause the whole bunch to go rotten) But I thought this was a forum where I can have my opinion.

My son got 2nd team honors, I thought he would be upset when he got home from football last evening. The first words on the subject, "It doesn't matter, I am playing college football, not getting 1st team will not deter me from following my goals".

Very refreshing.
