Yea I'm not sure why they would move Willard up to bay division. Mostly DIV schools. Did they move a bay division school up to the Lake Division? Shelby leaving forces Willard up to the Bay.

Wow that's surprising. I heard during the season that it was going to happen but I figured they changed their mind since we're almost halfway through May. Waited until AFTER the levy passed, so as not to rock the boat?

Lexington hires a new AD. Lex grad, Mike Grist will be returning home. Wow. Just one year at Ontario. Mike is a great guy, though. He will do a good job. Did they even interview anybody? Joe just quit a week ago or so...

I'm hopeful that he goes to River Valley, so we can hear on this thread what they think in a couple years. He's in administration now, what would he do at RV. I doubt that he goes there my guess is he will stay in the job he has. I have heard that RV is splitting up the Assistant Principal and AD jobs. He could just be the AP and Head Basketball Coach. Isnt that his job at Shelby? Assistant Principal to Gies?

Gonna be another epic game between the Spartans and Colts at the Colt Corral tomorrow night.
Amazing how evenly matched these two programs are in boys sports.

Did anyone ever question the reason? It has always been pretty obvious the small NCC schools, led by Sheldon, wanted away from Ontario boys basketball. Agree. No doubt that was the reason - to get away from Ontario (and I would add Galion at the time too). Don't understand why Sheldon & his crew have allowed Upper to stay in the league so long. Especially since they are 1-9 vs Upper with the loss this season making 8 straight. Because they don’t have enough votes to throw Upper out. The Wyandot County schools are a voting block of 3. I’d bet it takes 75% at least to kick someone out. Would never happen. Sheldon would have to break away and form A new league. That’s why.

Pleasant 62 Shelby 50, Final. It would appear Hunter Hoffman didn’t play, as he was injured toward the end of the Ontario game. If he did, Marion radio failed to call his name, and he wasn’t in the box score. Huge loss in a game like this. Schwemley with 25, but only 2 after halftime. Pugh only had 9. Credit to Pleasant. Was there. Hoffman was in street clothes. Both teams played very hard. Physical game. Neither set of fans were happy with the refs, so I guess that makes it even, LOL. Hoffman is gonna make that game up at Shelby very interesting when he is back. 2 good teams IMO.

Marion or Findlay would fit the bull for both of those. Nope. They sent it to Bellefontaine.

St. Mary’s put 55 on Van Wert tonight (55-20), so you have to think they are favorites in the Regional Final, but rooting for the Colts!
Game in Findlay? Maybe Harding?

True. Pasteur has OH favored by 5.
Calpreps has: Pleasant 21, Oak Harbor 17 (neutral field). Since OH is at home, that is usually good for 2-3 points.
Gonna be fun!
Either way, someone is gonna be wrong!

Pleasant has quite a few weapons, and they will get Ladd week 6 i believe. that is going to be a dangerous team. Ladd is already playing. OHSAA one time move back exception.

This isn't an issue for every school in the state or even a "hot-topic". 86% of the high schools submitted a vote. I think that's pretty dang good. In addition, those votes wouldn't have mattered either way. Those 100 schools are about to be fined... If you don't send your vote in, you are fined. They will wish they had spoken their minds... Which is why most ADs and Principals do it right away and get it in the mail. no one wants the fine.

Actually it’s 50.3 from high school to high school accordington to google. Loudonville currently drives to Cuyahoga Valley 69 miles. Then let them keep driving to Cuyahoga Valley. There is no easy way to get there particularly on a bus and you know that. It won’t happen either way.

Loudonville to Marion is a heck of a drive. 50 miles. Actually, it’s 62 Miles From Harding on the east side of Marion to Loudonville. Just one of the reasons That idea won’t work.

Willard and Highland were sent letters to Join. If BV would have announced sooner Willard would have came in with Shelby. Now if Highland leaves the KMAC, they better prepare for the other Morrow county schools to rejoin the MOAC as well. They will go to a big school small school divisions. LOL. Willard didn’t even get a “Happy St. Patrick’s Day Card”, much less an offer to the MOAC. Neither interest on either side. Nor has there been for the last 2 years. But then you swear that Pleasant is going to the N10 next year, which is hilarious since no one from the N10 has even contacted them at all, and they aren’t leaving the MOAC anyway. We all know you are a Harding fan, just stick to Harding news. Shelby practically begged Willard to be interested, but they wanted to stay North. So the thing about BV also isn’t true, because not sure at all that Willard would have been approved. LONG drive for the southern schools. The last part about the other Morrow county schools is obvious. If Highland comes, they might be interested. Long way from that at this point. As for Willard Fillmore’s question: No interest in Kenton. Upper is happy in the N10.

I think if you go back to your school of residence you still have to sit 1/2 the season to the point you moved. Doesn't work that way...you have to sit out 50% of the season unless you fit an exception: EXCEPTION 9: A student shall be entitled to one transfer to the public high school located in the public school district within which the student’s parent residence is located regardless of whether the student is transferring from a public or nonpublic school. Was told he fits the exception.

So we rule Willard and Highland out and the MOAC is still at 7 come 2019. Who is “we”? You can’t rule anyone out, LOL The post about Willard was ridiculous anyway. Just like a good chunk of the posts on here. The MOAC and Willard haven’t been in contact for 2 years. As for Highland, who knows. Conflicting information out there.

Just wait until Buckeye Valley gets a whif of the crowds the MSL schools bring...or don’t. They can be pretty putrid. They will take a financial bath. Big losses. Columbus people don't want to drive north if Delaware for a game. Ever. North Union not as much, but they will lose gate as well. Their decisions. Hope their Boards have an extra $20,000-$30,000 per annum to help bail out their Athletic Departments. Will start draining the General Fund.

So, just for the sake of speculation....if Highland did go to the MOAC, who would the KMAC go after to get back to 8? Elgin? Utica? Lucas? Loudonville? Crestline? If they added someone not from Knox or Morrow County would they change the name of the conference? Though of course Mt. Vernon is the only school from those counties not already in the league (and I realize there's no chance of them being invited), however Utica is only just barely over the line and does have a third of its district in Knox, and Loudonville has a small part of their district in Knox as well, so either of those 2 being added could technically be close enough to keep the name geographically correct. Should Highland leave...its: 1a. Utica 1b. Loudonville. (Although there would be some push back here)

Rematch it is moacmama I might actually go and see that one. Should be another classic! Explain why again you guys are leaving, LOL? Technically it is a re-rematch. Haha. tuesday night at Ridgedale. I'm glad the powers that be chose Ridgedale and not one of the Olentangys. Wasn't in the mood to drive there. They don’t have noodles there, do they? If so, it still won’t be YOUR noodles, LOL. Good Luck.

That's how I have it 4. Stevens from RV, then Douglas. They both can score and both had good yrs with assist. Stevens just has better players around her that's why they won the league. League will be tough for next few yrs with Stevens only a soph and Douglas a fresh. MH will be better, RV will stay the same. BV and Pl will struggle at beginning of yr starting so many new players but should be good by end of yr. Hope to get my daughter stronger so she's ready for the jump. I agree too. Stevens from RV=POY Douglas 2nd.

Where is BV headed? I know there was talk of MSL but I thought BV didn't want to deal with driving through Columbus on weeknights and was trying to avoid going south. Also Highland was the one who orchestrated the expansion of the MOAC and eventually the KMAC, so I would not expect the MOAC to welcome them back with open arms, except now there are new faces who would be willing to take them (Galion - yes you still are a newbie, Ontario, Clear Fork, Harding...and now Shelby) and some of the originals are gone (NU, Elgin, Ridgedale). BV is heading to the Mid State League. Wednesday night at their Board Meeting.

Bullshit! Name any member of our administration that has said this. Go ahead be specific. I know none of the ones I've spoken to have any problem with it so be careful whose name you pull out of your backside. Ask them yourself. You know them just like I do. Will be interested to see if they say the same thing I was told. Not that it matters. Your plan won’t happen anyway.
