Send Lex to the MOAC when BV leaves and bring in Dover and NP. Problem solved. Your administration at Galion has made it clear that they will never vote for Lexington to join. Never.

Clear Fork only has 3 Seniors on their roster, although one is a 6-3 guard who's been a starter for 4 years. #2 in MOAC scoring, .4 behind Galion's Alsip. Same with Pleasant. Harter and Joehlin start, and Flickinger comes off the bench. Pleasant and CF gonna have some good games in FB and Basketball again next year too

Potential teaching jobs is definitely the hold up. Things do not appear to be going as planned. Maybe they should of specified what jobs were open before accepting resumes? maybe list we have a substitute bus driver position open for anyone wanting to be our next football coach....wtf Total clown show. But then, if they end up being stupid enough not to take Fox, then they deserve what they get. I know he has a Guidance Counselor’s certificate.

New to this? Just wondering who will get the job? Mahaney or Fox? Mahaney or Fox? That's who Norwalk is down to? LOL...you gotta be kidding. Mahaney is 27-26 at Mapleton coming off another 5-5 season. Fox has had taken his team to the playoffs SEVEN years in a row. How is this even a debate? If they pass on Fox, I will laugh my butt off. Norwalk being Norwalk I guess. Would love to hear the ADs rationale on this one...

RV seems to be going through some issues. Two kids quit during the game tonight. Heard rumblings that parents and players are not fans of the new coach. Wait...two VARSITY players quit DURING the game? They just walked back to the locker room or something? Gotta admit you dont hear of that very often. Yikes.

Galion's 12/21 game at Clear Fork was originally scheduled for 12/20 at Galion but Galion is working on their gym floor the next two weeks. I'm not sure what they are doing to it, I just know it's going to be about two weeks. Resurfacing the floor. Heard the last company did a horrible job.

Now that the 2017 season is officially over with all of the area teams out of it, what are the thoughts heading into 2018? One more football season with North Union before they are replaced with Shelby. Who will be the early favorite??? LOL. Looks like Willard Fillmore has logged in and already voted for his Ontario Warriors.

Hey Josh, what I typed wasn't a guess. If you know what I mean. Eastwood/Pleasant will be at Findlay unless something changes. Don't get me wrong. I thought it would be Tiffin too. its not. As of yesterday. Something must have changed. Whitmer/Olentangy at Findlay. So Pleasant/Eastwood at Tiffin? Yep. Just saw the Jordan Strack tweet as well... Will find out soon and let you know.

Eastwood and Pleasant won’t be at Tiffin unless something changes. Eastwood and Pleasant will be at Findlay. I am thinking that if this game is at Tiffin, which it should be, that would mean Whitmer/Olentangy would have to move. I'd think Findlay would make sense for them, so then you'd have to move Eastwood/Pleasant. To Clyde? Hey Josh, what I typed wasn't a guess. If you know what I mean. Eastwood/Pleasant will be at Findlay unless something changes. Don't get me wrong. I thought it would be Tiffin too. its not. As of yesterday.

I would think Tiffin also, but we would take it at Arlin! Probably Massillon/New Albany for us. Go Whippets. Whippet Good. Can’t play at Arlin Field. OHSAA doesn’t allow a team to play on same field twice in playoffs. Incorrect. Directly from the OHSAA.

I'd say Tiffin but Eastwood vs Pleasant may be competition for that site. Ashland would be my second guess. Not a third option out there IMO. Eastwood and Pleasant won’t be at Tiffin unless something changes. Eastwood and Pleasant will be at Findlay.

Wallacefan, I don't know anything about Archbold either, haven't seen them play. If they can't stop Pleasant's running game, it could be a long night. Didn't get up to NWOAL country to watch them this fall...talked to a friend that lives in Stryker and has seen them several times this year. Here's what he said, so TIFWIW: Quick team with speed on the perimeter....runs a spread and are very balanced on offense...very matured seasoned team that won't beat themselves...not big, but make up for it with technique and discipline....solid in just about every facet of the game...about 15 seniors, so an experienced team that won't be rattled much. i asked about the QB situation and he said that with their starter going down in the last game, his twin brother at RB took over (senior) and he is an excellent athlete as well. Not much drop off. Takeaway: They are a very good, solid team and Pleasant will have to beat them, because they won't just roll over. Speed on the perimeter is an issue, especially if the new QB is a solid passer. The question IMO is what Archbold will do with the QB situation and their defensive alignments. Have to think Pleasant won't "reinvent the wheel" but JMO.

Some bold picks here with Archbold.
Multiple picks even with the starting QB tearing his ACL in the last playoff game.
Will be interesting to see how that one turns out.

Injuries happen all throughout the season, the best team will win! I just finished watching the Edgerton game vs. Tiffin and Edgerton ran up and down the field on Tiffin all night. I’ll take my Flyers and their run game/pass game and defense over Calvert all day long. Go Flyers! Most people agree with you....the vote is currently 8-3 in favor of NSP.

Not lose kids to SHS and PHS? At this point in the shared history of the three, that's almost a moot point, unless you're looking at it on a generational basis. The families that can afford St. Mary's will stay there because of the academics and culture of discipline, things that have weakened at Perkins in the last decade. Unless their students can enter Sandusky's gifted academy - that separates the haves from the have-nots all day - most parents outside Streak Nation feel there's no reason to bother at SHS, either. In 8 yrs., Wikel has amassed a record of 24 wins and 57 losses. A full fifty percent of those wins came in the 2014 and 2015 campaigns alone, the latter of which included a speedy exit from their first playoff appearance in a full decade. I understand the times have not been kind to SMCC and some of the smaller schools in the area (private or public), but at what point does an AD and a school system say "We're not going to give into apathy?" SMCC was bitching about the SBC as early as the 80s; after jumping ship - only to jump right back - and getting their way by being able to schedule the "fun-size" conference opponents they've wanted for decades, and they still put on the same shitshow they have since 2008. This was broken up by a two-year stint of decent play as SRL opponents of Lakota, St. Joe's, and St. Wendelin the one year out of two they felt like fielding a team. If the boys there do like Coach Wikel, and are willing to play for him, they've a funny way of showing it. Hard to tell, as I've never known anyone from SMCC to have a presence on the SBC boards here. Before anybody points the finger @ my alma mater, I get it, but one year (so far) in the cellar does not equate to a decade of putting up bad football against either opponents you've been playing for five decades or opponents you've WANTED to play for five decades. Wikel is the Head Football Coach AND Athletic Director. Hes probably not in a hurry to fire himself. just saying...

Genoa is a good team. No doubt. But they aren't unbeatable.
And Eastwood practically handed them 21 points with 2 fumbles and an INT early on.
Eastwood rallied back to win in the 4th.

Anyone know what style of O and D Genoa brings to the table? A decade ago they ran the wing-t, but that was a decade ago and under a different head coach. Still Wing-T. Surprised Blazer doesn't know that. Genoa is as Genoa was. They beat Fostoria on Friday night with ZERO passes for the game. 461 yards rushing. Plus, their starting QB is out for the year. Their backup is solid, but passing is not their thing. Never has been. Make no mistake. It will be strength on strength in this matchup. Won't be a blowout in either direction. Hard hitting, physical game. Will be a great game to watch.

He will. once it gets to 50 points. His job is to worry about Calvert now, not Willard. Calvert 52-14. If you think Todd Fox doesn’t care about the city, people or situation in Willard you’re 100% mistaken. I don’t know if he’ll win by 20 or 200, I’m just saying I think he’ll show restraint. He’ll prove his point sure, then call off the dogs imo. I didn’t say that Scarlet. You are putting words in my mouth, which is unethical. I know full well that Todd cares about Willard. I’m just saying he has a job to do. Willard administration made it clear they didn’t want him. That stung. A lot. But since then he has made the playoffs what...like 7 years in a row. He has proven his point that he would have been a better choice. He will make sure this game is 100% put to bed before calling off the dogs. If people wanted him to be worried about Willard, they should have hired him.

Fox pounds down the gas peddle in this not so close blow away win. This one is a statement to the school board who promised him an interview and then shat on him. This game is purely a statement game to Willard saying thanks, but no thanks. Calvert in a win with running clocks in the 2nd half. I think he’ll show restraint. He loves Willard more than most in Willard. His problem never was with the kids and coaches. He will. once it gets to 50 points. His job is to worry about Calvert now, not Willard. Calvert 52-14.

Someone from CF would tell you they could have competed with Ashland and Mansfield this season. Clear Fork got tired of only "competing". Being the smallest school, with half being twice their size. What's funny is both sides in this debate talk about Marion being a "city", like it was Toledo or something. Toledo isn't a city......Toledo is a rathole.

Willard is being forced up into the Bay Division for football. They are not happy about it and have contacted other conferences. So far, no takers. His question was regarding the 2018 season. Everything I've seen on here has stated that Willard football will be part of an 8 school River division in 2018 (when Danbury and Gibsonburg join), and then when Hopewell-Loudon joins in 2019 the Willard football program will move up to the Bay division, where all their other sports are already. As for the Bay division in 2018, it will only have 5 official members, with everyone having the option to still play their game against Shelby as a non league matchup or find someone else that week. I understand, but I wasn't concerned with the year. The poster should now be aware of that As you know, everything in the statement is true and correct. Won't argue over the semantics.

^^^ Agree with you on losing, But we don't mind the trip to Shelby. If Shelby has to be an independent next year, then who is being forced out of the River League to join the Bay Conference ? I thought it was foolish anyway for Shelby to join the SBC for travel reasons, If they hadn't joined, They could be in their new conference, a lot sooner. Willard is being forced up into the Bay Division for football. They are not happy about it and have contacted other conferences. So far, no takers.

The "schools" have nothing to with enforcing OHSAA game rules. The game officials do. Correct. The principal told me the referees demanded it.

With a potential week 10 match up between a 9-0 Northmor team and an 8-1 Highland team looming for the conference title, one question has to be asked. Does Highland need to win out to make the playoffs? When Galion was in a similar position at 8-2 in the now defunct NCC they were left sitting at home. You are assuming that Northmor will go down to Danville next week and win. There is no guarantee of that. That said, no one in the KMAC will stay within 3-4 TDs of Highland. They will dominate this conference now and into the future if you have seen their younger grades as well as I have. As for the playoffs, Drew Pasteur has them as getting in, even at 8-2. Road game, but in.
