Saw something I've never seen before. After 30 seconds of being in locker room at halftime, Upper's coach walks out on team and stands in front of their bench for remaining halftime while team remained. From my vantage point there seems to be very little positive energy surrounding the Rams. It wasn't 30 seconds. He came out with a little over 4 minutes left on the halftime clock.

Upper over Carey by one 49-48. One of the oddest games I have watched in a while. Not sure if Carey played that good or Upper stunk that badly. Upper went onto a stall offense with about two minutes left only up one. Brilliant that it worked. And balls of steel to do that as a coach. Almost bit them in the butt. Carey guards played a lot better than I expected them to against Uppers pressure. And Uppers defense looked pretty ugly most of the night. The stat line from the game was nearly identical. Both teams made 14 2-point FGs, 5 3-point FGs, and attempted 10 FTs. The difference was Upper made 6 FTs to Carey's 5.

Some of you people have an incredibly loose definition of "bench area." The Upper celebration was smashed up against the wall mat at the end of the gym underneath the basket. The CC bench is up against the bleachers. How are they synonymous?

So because you say it makes it true??? If you say so, no skin off my neck if you believe anything on here or not. This was an assement of went on after game thru my eyes and ears from a very good vantage point. One thing i won’t do is puposely make things up. That’s for the other trolls on here to do. But you implied that your purpose for joining this forum was to post nothing but the truth. As in everything that you post is factual and can't be denied by anyone. I have never made such insinuations.

Was not nor was it any parents involved with any upper kids. Don’t spread untruths. I was there, only thing that happened with upper kids were between cc kids and upper kids as they finnally left floor and headed right by cc student section into locker room. All verbal and nothing else. There were some things that went on between a certain upper kids’s dad and a cc parent well after game but it was minor and instigated by certain upper kids dad. This is why i finnally joined this forum. To post the truth’s, not the untruth’s. So because you say it makes it true???

Coach Sheldon for Crawford has always been a sore loser and continues to be one. Always has no class after he’s lost against upper for 2 straight years in a rowUpper has now beat CC 8 straight times. CC's last win was January 28, 2015.

Wow. Crawford had a chance. Heard it was a great effort by CC. Also heard Sheldon did not shake hands with Upper Coach after the game nor did the players. If true, not surprising but very sad. It is absolutely true. He didn't shake hands before the game either. As soon as the shot went through the basket, he made a beeline for the locker room and never looked back. And yes, the players did followed him and didn't shake hands either. The ONLY pass I MAY give him is that Upper students swarmed the floor and Lord only knows how long it would have taken to get sorted out. That being said, it was IMO a poor example by him.

It’s pretty obvious who true crimson is and i will leave it at that. It’s not hard to figure out if you follow the posts. Upper is real good. Be shocked if they don’t run the table till districts or beyond. They will get better and better if they stay healthy. It’s unbelievable to me that someone would say willards 2 leading scorers from last nite should come off the bench unless you have “little johnny” glasses on. I'm an Upper fan, but let's pump the brakes on running the table. We play Shelby and Lexington non-league in consecutive weekends around Christmas. And still have to play CC in the league twice.

Does this mean they don't have Freshman teams at all? They have something like 14 girls in total in high school playing basketball? Do they have 20 cheerleaders for Boys basketball? I doubt they have swim teams. We don't have numbers problems for girls basketball, but we have most of those other things. No freshmen girls, but we do have 19 cheerleaders and swimming. It helps that we are the biggest school in the N10, but a school like Ridgedale never has enough for a JV team and a school like Bucyrus will sometimes cancel a JV game here and there for various reasons.

Who for OHSAA decides these locations??? Pretty much a home game for Alter. Yeah, a 69 mile trip is pretty much a home game for Alter.🙄 Everyone that makes this complaint sure makes it come across like they have an excuse for losing already in their hip pocket. The field is 100 yards long by 53 1/3 yards wide no matter where you play.

TC coaches and fans were whining about the officiating, but you lost because your QB threw 5 INTs - one in the end zone and another at the goal line with about 4 minutes to go that would have probably made it a 3-point game.

Why is it unlikely to be at Tiffin? Big win for the streaks, look like they will be taking on the Lexington Minutemen!! Hopefully its somewhere near or close my neck of the woods. Back to Bellevue like this match up in 2016 or back to Columbian for Lex? The latter is more equal mileage but unlikely. Not sure where else this could be between these two schools. Willard’s seating is not big enough to hold anything larger than DV IMO.

Yes, McCreary is enrolled at Upper. And, yes, from what I was told, to say that Coach Sheldon is upset is quite the understatement.😀

Will the OHSAA do the same as they did in football by dividing DI in half to create a new DI and DII and keep the same number of schools in the other Divisions, just giving each one a lower number? OR Have 5 Divisions with approximately the same number of schools in each of the 5 Divisions? At the district meeting, we were told that shrinking D1 and spreading the other teams among the other divisions (similar to what's done in football) is more likely than going to 5 divisions. The OHSAA feels pretty strongly to keep it at 4; otherwise, you'd have to expand the state tournament to four days.

OHSAA shows the vote was 450 in favor and 244 against. So over 100 schools did not vote.Schools have the responsibility to vote on the issues that affect them, especially a hot-button topic such as this. So, I find this rather embarrassing.

One possible twist to this is that we were told at the district meeting that at the state level, there is at least some discussion of shrinking D1 in basketball, as is done in football, and redistrubing those schools among the other divisions.

No, I'm telling you it was not designed to specifically move anyone. It was designed to take into account the athletes on a roster that you call move ins and create a total number for every school in the state. Once every school had a total number, which included their enrollment plus the CB number, the divisions were set up based on all of the schools total numbers. I'm not sure how many people realize this. It's not completely accurate to say schools are definitely manipulating their number when the divisional breakdowns are not fixed in advance.

To be fair he does have some young kids. It is also possible that he would like to get back into coaching boys again. After all he was a boys assistant coach under Deibler. He has one kid, a daughter who turns 5 in June.

Luckily for us, All 3 of them are in the same district, only 1 of them will survive. Yeah and that one team will beat whoever it is from this district by 10 -15 points minimum. But thats what ya get when you can pick your team from the some of the best kids in Columbus area..( Excluding Northmor) Hope I am wrong and whoever comes out of Norwalk can pull it off but look up those three teams I mentioned. They are loaded with size and talent or both... You're going to say the same thing about Grandview too???

In all honesty, we are 5 years into this and who cares why the N10 was formed. The fact is its a conference full of small schools and Upper. Upper can't compete in football, no matter what league their in. Basketball wise their records are over inflated in both genders because of the lack of competition which makes their coaches and AD happy, win 16+ games in regular season and early exit in tourney. The only person upset with this is Coach Sheldon because for some reason he can't beat Upper. Other than that whose not happy? Then no one in the conference should be able to take credit for ANYTHING. Because the competition sucks... right?

Based on what's been communicated at the district meeting the last few years, having the higher seed host won't happen any time soon.
Which doesn't necessarily make any sense because volleyball, soccer, baseball, and softball already have higher seed host at the sectional level.
We were told at the district meeting that the OHSAA is exploring ways to make the tournament process the same all across the state. Exactly what that entails remains to be seen.

Ottawa Glandorf, ranked #3 in the final AP poll. 22-1, Only loss @ Lexington 54-53. And that loss was on a shot with 1 second to go.
